matcha connects to a district StudentVUE account, imports your assignments and due dates, and places study sessions in the time you have left around class, practice and work. The connection is read-only and matcha is free. Assignments arrive when you connect and when you press Sync.
What matcha does with StudentVUE
StudentVUE tells you what is due. It does not tell you when to do it, how long it will take, or what happens when three things land on the same Thursday. That gap is the entire problem, and it is the one matcha solves.
Connect your district account and matcha pulls your assignments across, then plans around them. You never retype an assignment into a to-do list again.
How it works
- Sign in to matcha and pick StudentVUE as your school account.
- Enter your district URL and your StudentVUE username and password. matcha checks the district is a real Edupoint host before it sends anything.
- Your assignments sync across, and matcha immediately builds a plan around them.
- Tell matcha about practice, a shift, or a night out, and the plan rearranges itself around it.
The plan is sized by how long your work has actually taken you before, not by a guess. Sessions get shorter or longer as matcha learns what your work really costs you.
Why a planner beats a to-do list
A to-do list tells you what is outstanding. It is silent on the only question that matters on a Tuesday night: what should I do right now, and will it fit before practice? A list of nine assignments is nine decisions you have to make while tired.
matcha makes those decisions once, in advance, and rewrites them whenever the day changes. You open it and start, rather than opening it and deciding.

Which districts work with matcha?
Any district running StudentVUE by Edupoint. matcha asks for the district URL you already use, and refuses any host that is not an Edupoint one — so a mistyped or spoofed address fails rather than quietly sending your credentials somewhere else.
Is my StudentVUE password safe?
Your district credentials are encrypted before they are stored, and they are used only to fetch your own gradebook. You can disconnect StudentVUE at any time, which removes them.
Does matcha change anything in StudentVUE?
No. The connection is read-only. matcha reads your assignments and never writes back to your school account, so nothing your teachers or parents see is affected.
What does it cost?
Nothing. matcha is free.
How do new assignments get in?
Connecting pulls your gradebook straight away. After that, press Sync on the StudentVUE connection in your profile to pull anything new, and matcha re-plans around it. StudentVUE does not yet update on its own in the background.
Does matcha work with Canvas as well?
Yes. Canvas connects with an access token you create in Canvas and your school’s Canvas address, and matcha imports your assignments and course grades from it just as it does from StudentVUE. Canvas is read-only too, and Canvas coursework arrives when you press Sync.
